Yuj-Yoga
Yuj-Yoga is an up-and-coming digitally conscious company, that aims to bring yoga to all; through a data-driven app. Led by Nisha Sharma, Yuj-Yoga’s dynamic app will help yoga students, across the globe, to learn from Yogic wisdom and connect with an authentic Yoga teaching community tailored for them. There is so much more to yoga than the physical, the app will also help users to gain a holistic experience of yoga practice. The Yuj-Yoga app, when launched, will include asana (physical practice), anatomy (the body), pranayama (breathwork), meditation (mind), mantra (sacred sound), kriyas (cleansing actions), mudras (hand gestures), philosophy (spiritual texts), and yoga therapy.

Nisha Sharma, the Yuj-Yoga founder, had a strong business idea, but she needed it to be brought to life. A visual brand identity needed to be created that encompassed the ethos and values of Yuj-Yoga. Once that was ready, it was time to develop the digital app concept. The brand and app needed to stand out within a busy wellness industry and it was important for the app to provide a clear and simple user journey.

First KSD created the Yuj-Yoga visual brand identity. Deliverables included: main logo, logo variations, sub marks, colour palette, font pairing, two sets of iconography and a brand style guide. The primary set of five icons was centred around balance and the second set was around Yuj-Yoga’s nine themes of yoga. Once the brand design phase was complete, KSD moved to the mobile app concept creation. KSD and, Yuj-Yoga founder, Nisha worked through two rounds of wireframing, mapping out user journeys and clarifying each app screen’s requirements. The user journey, within the app, is personalised, based on answering an initial series of questions. That added a level of complexity to the functioning required. Following sign-off, of the wireframes, KSD implemented the visual identity to the app pages.

KSD brought the Yuj-Yoga vision to life by creating a brand that will connect with the target audience and aligns perfectly with the overall brand vision, values and ethos. The completion of the brand identity design, app wireframes, and app design, means that Yuj-Yoga is now ready to move to the next phase of its business launch, the digital app production, when founder, Nisha Sharma, is ready. KSD can project manage the app creation in collaboration with the chosen app development team.
