Based in NYC, Articulate is an industry-leading communications agency specialising in premium, legacy and challenger drinks brands.

This independent creative team plans and delivers bold campaign strategies that build reputation, foster partnerships and create global connections.

Having recently created a new visual brand identity, Articulate needed to translate this into a fresh website design.
The business had evolved since the existing website was built and some of the more intricate design elements no longer delivered the user experience Articulate required. The brief requested a clean, minimal site to showcase their distinct and professional service with impact.
Leading a collaborative design process, KSD worked closely with Articulate’s Senior Vice President (SVP) of Strategy and Planning to understand their vision of simplicity and translate this onto the page. We provided strategic guidance, supporting the in-house team to make informed decisions about each element, from page structure and action calls to SEO content.
Simplicity in structure
Understanding that simplicity requires intricate planning, KSD removed unnecessary design features to create a website that speaks volumes in its restraint.
Each element that has been included purposefully reflects the values of the brand. A bold yet minimalistic homepage animation highlights Articulate’s strong visual recognition. A rotating carousel introduces the Articulate team without hierarchy. Easy-to-use case study templates present successful strategic campaigns.
Technical precision
KSD stripped back the complex, bespoke code of the previous website, utilising the no-code block builder functionality in Squarespace and hand-picked plugins to deliver the functionality required while optimising load speeds.
With a carefully planned migration strategy, we maintained Articulate’s online presence throughout the re-design process, switching over to the new launch once the team had complete confidence in the positive impression it would produce.
Presenting the news
Given the nature of Articulate’s work, the News section required some additional consideration. In an otherwise minimal site, this page would be constantly updated, demonstrating the media success Articulate achieves for clients.
KSD created a customised news section in a sophisticated editorial style. A vibrant layout integrates headlines, high resolution images and media screenshots, with graphic details indicating links that take a visitor off-site.
