Finalist For Cambridgeshire Digital Awards 2017 - Small Business Category
YAY!! I'm super chuffed!! Two days ago (on my birthday) I found out my freelance side hustle business - Krishna Solanki Designs - is a finalist in the Small Business category in the Cambridgeshire Digital Awards 2017.
As I sat designing at my desk, I saw the notification pop up on my phone... I quickly checked my emails and I was in a little bit of a daze to be honest.
I'd been on a blogging break for a little while now, mainly because so many other things had taken priority - freelance design projects, mom life (me and my hubby are now expecting baby 2!!), part time work, and family time (including a bit of bad news).
None the less as read the email all the excitement and joy rushed to me and I realised how much I have missed blogging and connecting with my audience. It was at that moment I knew I needed to get my butt into gear and refocus.
So moving forward, I couldn't be happier to find out that I have been chosen as a finalist for the Small Business category in the Cambridgeshire Digital Awards 2017.
Last year I was a finalist in the Marketing and Creative category and it was great to take part. Unfortunately I didn't win, but I was so so proud of how far my little business had come. I was up against some seriously amazing agencies, who were more then just a one-woman band.
So yea, although a different category this year, I am hoping with my fingers and toes crossed that this will be my year! :)

The website Small Business category is open to any company or organisation with five employees or less, and the judging panel are keen to see evidence through the website of your team’s contribution to your success, both on and offline.
The winners of CDA17 will be chosen by the Digital Awards independent judging panel and revealed via Twitter on November 1, 2017.
